Hi. I’m Lynn Baldwin, inventor of Stop & Kiss: A Card Game for Couples. I hope you enjoy celebrating your relationship with this unique card game.
People have asked me where I got the idea to develop Stop & Kiss, so I wanted to share a little bit of the story.
It all started in 2003 when I made a personalized board game for my boyfriend to celebrate a special anniversary. Each square on the game board represented something special about us: a memorable moment, a shared passion, an experience that had furthered our connection.
Being an entrepreneurial spirit, I thought about trying to commercialize the board game. In fact, I toyed around with it for years, in an “on and off” sort of way. But, I always got stuck on the logistics of mass-producing a board game.
Then, one day I had a brainstorm: my board game could be a card game!
From this spark, Stop & Kiss was born. While different in scope and size than my original board game, this card game for couples captures the spirit of the original game.
You may be wondering: what ever happened to the boyfriend?
I’m happy to say that since 2005, he’s been my husband! In fact, he came up with the term “Stop & Kiss,” which I decided to use as the name of my game.
